Hello there!

I am a complete online learning geek and look forward to connecting with all of you who feel the same way! I am a part of the Montana Office of Public Instruction team. I manage everything LMS to support Montana's teachers.

My question for you is this: What problem are you attempting to solve through your work?

See you soon! -Kate

Hello Kate,

Welcome and I, too, am all in on learning.

What problem am I trying to solve through my work? Not an exact answer to your question, but my background in Math, Science, and Education coupled with my position as the lead LMS Administrator leads me to connect the Education and Learning worlds with the Technology And Computer World. I work hard to understand both sides and be good at working and communicating in both worlds and das Niederland between them. I am a great problem solver and good on seeing what the real issues are and developing correct, in the math and programming sense, solutions. I also work on team building, tell good stories, and wear an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time of the first MtMoot.

Hi Kate!

My favorite thing about coming to MountainMoot last year for the first time was to find other people who also love to "geek" out on all things LMS! We speak the same language. Excited to do it again.

What problem are you attempting to solve through your work? I solve the issue of underutilized Learning Management Systems and inaccessible course content for my clients. Basically, I help them not to let their investment go underutilized!

Some come to me for an initial audit, followed by training design and delivery. Others need help selecting and implementing an LMS, with subsequent training for their staff on effective course design. Additionally, I assist clients in designing presentations and engaging learning activities for hybrid college courses.

How about you? What problem are you solving through your work?

Hello @nicoleletoile! My personal goal in work is to make content more accessible and absorbable. I believe that the use of technology does not mean humanity is taken out of our work. I believe quite the contrary! The use of technology connects those of us living rurally and allows us to grow intellectually. On a more professional level, I support teacher in Montana by providing online course content that helps them build on their practice. See you soon and enjoy your travel!
