SCHEDULE: We have a bit of a rolling start. You can pick up your registration materials starting at 11am on Tuesday in the library on campus. (The Corette Library, newly remodeled, is our hub for sessions.) Join us for the pre-opening social event at Ascension Brewery in downtown Helena for food and drinks starting at 4pm.

“Pre-Moot” sessions run through the day on Wednesday with the official opening party at the Brewhouse on Wednesday night and the conference proper begins on Thursday morning. Confused? Here’s the schedule overview, complete with links and addresses to the socials. We’ll be thrilled to see you whenever you make it here.

PARKING: Parking on campus is FREE during the summer. You can park in any student parking area, no decals, no worries. Please continue to respect handicap parking and fire lanes.

WIFI / BYOD: Guest wifi is available on campus. We’ll have instructions on how to connect when you arrive. We are bring your own device for both attendees and presenters. Projectors for presenters can be connected to through HDMI. If you are a presenter and you NEED access to a classroom computer, please let us know ASAP, so we can make special arrangements.

MEALS: Tuesday dinner (at the Meet and Greet), Wednesday lunch, Wednesday dinner (in the form of heavy appetizers), Thursday lunch, Thursday dinner, and a ton of snacks / drinks are included. In a slight change from previous years, everyone is on their own for breakfast, although there will be coffee and pastries each morning. If you aren’t staying at a hotel where breakfast is included, we’ve added some suggestions to our MT Moot ‘24 Locations Google Map.

STAYING ON CAMPUS: If you’re arriving on campus on Tuesday, July 16th, please stop by the library between 11:00 and 3:30pm or Mt. Ascension Brewing between 4 and 8pm to get your room key. If you are staying on campus and need a pick up from the airport, please fill out this form to let us know. Most hotels in town run their own shuttles, but if you’re otherwise in need of a ride, please fill out the form – we won’t leave you stranded. If you’re coming in on Wednesday or Thursday, during conference times, you can get your room key when you check in. If you’re doing something else odd, schedule wise, please let Rachel know, as she’ll be on the on campus contact this year. (rmartin@carrol.edu

HEAT & DRESS: Helena is hot this summer! (It is 98 degrees as I’m writing this, but we’re projected to cool down all the way to 90-93 by the time you arrive.) However, the library, where the sessions take place, is gloriously air conditioned. We are a very informal, friendly, casual conference. Wear what you feel comfortable in. Plan for the heat. We will be both inside and outside for social events and to walk between buildings. The evenings do cool down to the 50's overnight. Plan to be safe, drink water, and know that you may want to be in shorts on Friday, if you plan to take part in the final post-conference tradition, which involves going down a hill, rapidly, and in front of a crowd on an ice block. 

MOODLE SITE AND RESOURCES: In the spirit of the conference we hope to have all of the session materials posted on the mountainmoot moodle site to enhance your experience. And while you are there please post in the “Meet and Greet” area!
